Winding and Draft

Hello

Is there a solidworks function that does the draft  with the winding of a sketch, I managed to do the draft just with a simple extrusion. I want to do this with a coil.

Thank you for your help

Hello

Do you have to take up via a 3D sketch the base of your extrusion

and make an extract with a body

See attached image

for this part the winding requested on your previous question was not useful

it was enough to make a projected sketch

and after extrusion according to your needs

How to make a projected sketch on a cylindrical surface

you go to curve function

and you'll find projected curves

Hello

If by draft you mean a removal of material, you just have to choose debossing instead of embossing in the winding function as in my attachment made under 2016 like you.

A body ac cobra

It is specific to molds, the vertical angles should not be equal to or greater than 90 degrees .

otherwise you can't unmold

Bonjouur,

still same problem when projecting the curve it shows that the sketch is still open, I converted the entities but in vain

 what do I do please

Have you projected each sketch a

so 4 projections

these 4 projection convert them into a 3D sketch

and after doing each extrusion

See attached image

and via draft analysis tool

We can see that everything is green

the request being angle stripped 3 degree

which of + is via your basic sketches which are for my taste too facetized

I would have made sure to minimize all these facets that are too ugly
