Hi all
I am having problems with changes in thickness on a tray.
I can't replace the total thickness of the surfaces at 0.60mm....
Thank you very much for your help.
Kind regards

Hello
I just looked and replaced the hull rating from 0.7 to 0.6, it passes.
Is this really the problem?
Otherwise, I try differently.
Hello
I did as @Jose-accessa but I take the liberty of reposting it because I think you have to modify the thickness of the lip so that everything is in iso-thickness.
Have a nice day
Hello
Thank you for the answer but I tried to open your file but the thicknesses remain the same at 0.70mm.
Can you send me back the right file that I'm looking at.
Also, all thicknesses must be at 0.60mm and the tray must weigh between 30 and 31 grams.
Thank you very much for your responsiveness,
Kind regards
Charlotte Ehling
I measured all the thicknesses and I have 0.6mm. On the other hand, I have a mass of 35 grams.
Is the problem really the thickness?
I can't open the version is SW2013 and I'm in 2012
When reading the thread you have 9% too much in mass
2 options
decrease the thickness to 0.576
reduce the surface area (corrugation for the holding of the tray) by 4.5%
It's true that I answer without having seen anything so maybe I should refrain
a jpeg is welcome
@+ ;)
I increased the thickness to 0.576 and I reduced the lip by 0.27 mm (4.5% of 6mm) which itself is 0.576 mm thick.
By accumulating the two, I arrive at 33.95g :-(

I only put a visual or screenshot in 2012 to try to better understand the problem and try to find a viable solution
Having no vision, it's not easy to give a walkthrough
This tray has ripples for its support and resistance
maybe minimize said ripples
a visu please

@gt22, I stepped the piece in my previous answer so you can read it.
decrease if possible
the size of the tray via scaling
You can scale a part model or a polygon model relative to its center of gravity, the model's origin, or a coordinate system.
Thank you Mathieu, Cehling put a jpg
open the step only lines of code

Now, we need to know if the tray can be resized as @gt22 proposes or if it is constrained in size. It will then be necessary to change the size of the leave or simply a specific function. But for that, we need more information. :-)
Hello
I think you have complicated your life in terms of your design! :-)
As a general rule, in SolidWorks, you should try to group fillets of the same radius into the same function, perform them as late as possible, and then you should also perform the shell function as late as possible. This way, you will only have one shell function that you can control by the value you want. The inner rays will be automatically made in relation to your outer shape. I'll give you an example (SW2013) to illustrate my proposal. I hope he will help you in the realization of your compartmentalized tray.
Kind regards
hello Charlotte
+ I look at your tray + I ask myself questions
I'd like to understand how you tried to create this tray
The curves are not homogeneous
In your example it is not possible to insert them on top of each other and I think that this should be possible this is essentially the goal for transport and storage
(longitudinal curves/tray angle)
the 2 stiffener curves are not different horizontal parts
the curves of the angles ditto
The junction of stiffener curves and angles leaves me perplexed
Give us + info
dimensions, usable volume

Thank you all for your advice, I have been working on Solidworks for only 2 months and I am experiencing some problems....
Thank you for the design info, very good site and very good advice....
Kind regards
Charlotte
