Hi all
I wanted to use the EPDM function "Set revision" to realign the index of a clip to the same as that of the 3D to which it is associated for more clarity in a file.
This function has been around for several years now, but I had never been interested in it.
But when I want to use it, I can't choose the value of the new revision of my file, the drop-down menu only displays the value of the current index when it's an A index, and nothing when it's a higher value.
In Admin the problem is the same :-( So it doesn't seem to be a legal problem.
Hoping someone has an idea of the problem

Hello
I have the same problem, and I noticed that there is a state story where the plan is located as well as the 3D and the extraction.
I'm also curious for an explanation on this subject
Hello @g.casters
Can you tell me in what type of state and extraction it works for you? It will give me a lead.
Hello
I'm putting back here what I put in a private message since the forum seemed to be acting up 7 days ago.
For the revision definition to work correctly, you need to go to the workflows to set up the states in which the revision definition is checked.
In the "Revision numbers" tab, you have to select from the "Revision variable" drop-down list the variable used to manage the indices and unless I am mistaken, the other drop-down list ("Revision numbers") is already populated on the revision schema active on your workflow.
On the state where you want to set the revision, there must be an increment of the revision for the complete list of your revision schemas to appear.
Of course, the right to define the revision must be active on the targeted state.

Hello @Cyril.f
Thank you for all these explanations, I hadn't had time to look at the problem again this week.
I had two problems.
The 1st was that my "Revision Numbers" tab was missing the "Revision Variable" drop-down list which was not filled in.
The second is related to the revision increment that in my workflow does in the transition (from Approved, to Modified state), and not in a state.
To test I added an increment in my Approved state and now the set revision tool is working.
On the other hand, I have to check if it doesn't increment my revision when my file comes in approval,
Hello
Unless I'm mistaken, if there is nothing in the upstream transitions (request to update the revision...) it seems to me that having an increment in the state doesn't change anything (the revision increment is not done without action in the transition if my memory is correct).
I did some tests (a good package actually), at the beginning I had some problems related to the "Local Revision", the "Increment Revision" transition action and the "Revision Number" increment in the transitions which according to the actions performed in the WorkFlow had the consequence of incrementing the revision when arriving (or returning) in the WorkFlow. "Approved" status.
Finally I managed to get the desired functioning which allowed me to clean up some transitions of my WorkFlow
Thank you @Cyril.f
