Catia error "Click ok to stop"

Hello

I am currently working on a CAD project where I am working with the Generative Shape Design module of Catia, for some time when I manipulate the product a window appears ("Click on ok to stop") then the window closes.

If anyone has ever encountered this problem I would be very happy to hear their solution.

Thank you in advance for your answers and have a good day to all.

Dimitri

Hello

Are all the drivers up to date?

Graphics card etc...

Have you attempted a repair of the installation or a re-installation?

Wow.... ah my opinion you saved right at the time of the bug which means that as soon as you open your plan, the bug is there... Apart from starting over Your play in the best case, your study in the worst, I don't have too many solutions... Good luck...

Hello

It's a message that we like to pass on.

EDIT: (you say that it appears and then disappears ??? usually it appears and you have to close it from OK or by the "X" which has the effect of killing CATIA so losing what is not saved, is that the PB?)

Identifying the source is tricky if there is no repeatable scenario.

If a scenario is reproducible, test with a service pack or higher (see if corrected by DS).

If not reproducible, it is necessary to proceed by elimination:

EDIT: Add-ons (save the file under a new name and then run the CATDUA cleanup utility).

The most common "it was okay before it came suddenly" check if the colleagues have the same PB (clean the CATSetings, see Windows updates or software installation) etc.

Reinstall CATIA.

EDIT: Complements (if the PB continues is linked to the file, we delete the functions in the graph starting from the bottom successively until we have identified the function that poses PB).

First of all, thank you for your answers, this problem occurred on my school's pcs so I don't think it has anything to do with the computer (but you never know).

To answer franck.ceroux: you have to click on "ok" then catia closes, I noticed that some products in the study are more prone to this problem.

I've already reinstalled the software and I still have the same problem so I think my problem is more of a problem with this study than with the software itself (since it did it to me with other pcs).

I wanted to know if other people on the forum had had this problem.

The OK to terminate click is a big bug that has been following Catia since its inception and unfortunately can be encountered without even doing anything. Opening a file and then not knowing why it crashes.

One thing to do is not to click on OK but rather to close the Catia startup back window which remains open in the background. This will have the advantage when restarting catia of recovering the automatic backup.

This trick really works here. After that, it may be specific to our configuration because we have a launcher for startup.

This back window launches the cnext.exe. A priori, a colleague who doesn't have our environment tells me that it disappears.

We all experience the "Click OK to terminate" of CATIAV5.

However, there are some cases that can be reproduced and therefore corrected by DS as part of the maintenance contract. (in a HotFix, a new SP or a new Release).

But as I said, it's very tedious to determine the cause of the crash.

PB is limited with CATIA if you use a certified station, ServicePack 4 or higher, and you regularly clean these parameters (CATSetings).

Are you talking about GSD for your project, the PB arrives when you're in this workshop or when you're out of it (back to Assembly or partDesign)?

The problem comes in the assembly.

Hello.

In a blend:

Without knowing the project, I would proceed by successively deleting one piece after the other by going up the modifications (last pieces modified or inserted).

EDIT save the SSA under a new name (to correct the original)

Until a return to normal assembly to refocus research on what poses a PB to CATIA.

A CATDUA can solve some PB.
