SWregistrationProcess Error When Installing Solidworks 2015 SP05

When installing Solidworks 2015 SP05 on a fromscratch machine regardless of the type (administrative or standard image), an SWregistrationProcess error falls.

It's an HP Z400 12GB Windows 7 machine

The prerequisites seem to be ok, and the drivers for the Nvidia Quadro 4000 graphics card have been updated from the Solidworks website.

 Windows FULL updates.

Many thanks in advance.

PS: I put the logs in PJ

Hello

See this solution :

https://forum.solidworks.com/message/296455#296455

In general, it's the prerequisites that install incorrectly, probably VSTA (to be reinstalled from the DVD).

Assuming that the installation was done in administrator and having disabled the antivirus!

Hello

I found this on the solidworks forum maybe it can help

https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/56306

Sometimes using Microsoft's Fix- program its kind of problem;)

Hello

Was the station under an administrator session?

This is probably due to a registry access problem or a non-complete Visual runtime.

I think you should raise the level of the SOLIDWORKS installation logs, see attachment to do this (check high level and create Windows Installer logs)

You will probably have more precision in the Windows Installer logs, for example if a registry key cannot be created, the Windows Installer log will tell you which one and you can then assign or re-assign additional rights in the parent registry key that is causing the problem.

Attach the logs that this will create for you and  I'll take a look if you want.

Good luck

Mick

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for your answers.

to answer you, yes I am in admin of the domain and my antivirus (SOPHOS) is disabled.

I did an installation with the more precise logs that I put in PC.

Thank you all

Domain admin ok but local machine admin too?

Hello

I took a look, I think you are right in the following key (and sub-keys):

Failed to Open registry key:80000002 subkey:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Try to see with a system admin to restore the rights on this entire hive of the registry (become the owner of the key and add the admin rights)

Mick

@Mick Cordero:OK I see this with the admin sys.

@max59:I had done tests in local admin with the same result.

Thank you again to all.
