3D Sketching

I'm using Solidworks 2014 on a new PC.

When I create a 3D sketch, SW goes transparent and I see my "desktop".

How can we avoid this?

In MEPs I have the same thing by inserting a drilling table...

Thank you for your answers.

Weird, it's like when you leave the mouse pointer at the bottom right to bring up the desktop

Hello

Sounds like a graphical bug, are the graphics card drivers up to date?

What model is it?

You can check and download the latest recommended drivers here:

http://www.solidworks.fr/sw/support/videocardtesting.html

Otherwise, you should try resetting the SolidWorks settings to see if it doesn't  come from the configuration of the workstation:

Close SolidWorks.

Go to regedit (Start > Run > regedit) and then rename the folder with _OLD at the end for example (to restore the settings later):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Solidworks\SolidWorks .... depending on the version you want to reset.

When you restart SW, you have the "factory" settings

The license keys are in another place, so no risks.

On the other hand, if it solves the problem, it's quite complicated to know which parameter in particular is causing the problem !

If you have kept an older copy of the settings, you should try it, or take the settings from a colleague's computer if possible.

Otherwise, you have to restore all the settings by hand, hoping not to find the bug later !

Either the installation of Solidworks messed up.

Either as Lucas says, it's a driver problem.

Which graphics card do you have?

Has it been that since the beginning?

It's a QUADRO K2000.

Pioltes up to date.

I tried the LUCAS method (restart by REGEDIT...) but no change in "factory" mode.

Did you change the Windows theme?

Try with an Aero theme, it might solve your problem by right-clicking on the desktop > Customize. More info:

http://windows.microsoft.com/fr-fr/windows7/using-themes

Then restart SolidWorks, and let us know if it works.

Or disable the nVidia menu in the right-click:

Right-click on the desktop > nVidia (or nView) Control Panel > in the Menu (top) Desktop disable "Add context menus to the desktop"

You can also try to make a diagnosis with SolidWorks Rx:

In the graphics card settings, you have to enter Solidworks as the basic program!

It can be a start...

What I don't understand?

is that it goes transparent via an X or Y function in the SW log

and that it remains normal without these functions

so in my opinion it's not a card problem but a SW 2014 log problem

which by these functions requires an add-in

which are not properly taken into account

Is it possible if 3D sketch and table drilling table

You don't enter via an add-in linked to another log like Excel

Who wouldn't be up to date or bad version and therefore incompatible?

PS: this is only a reflection and everything I have just said may be absolutely irrelevant

the 2014 SW certified pilots for a K2000 are 320.78, and 331.82

and Excel and Word............ 2007/2010/2013

You wouldn't be on 2 screens and do you have another window open on the 2nd screen?

By changing the graphics card driver by installing the 320.78, it works.

I had done a performance test yesterday without any changes.

Thanks Gt22 !!
