Sketching in Solidworks Drawing and Slowing Down

Hello
I notice that sketching in a drawing or converting a view n sketches slows down considerably soliworks, are there any tricks to limit this problem I am sou solidworks 2022
Thank you in advance for your answers

Hello;

Try to integrate your sketches directly into your 3D drawings (if possible) rather than creating them in your Drawings (MEP).
Then you have to play with the visibility to make it appear in your MEP.
But if you can convert your sketch into a " 3D " entity (surfaces or extrusion), it will still be easier.

Kind regards.

Thank you very much for your answer, however I would like to convert some of my overview views into sketches, in order to add legible and visible annotations on my plan (

see attached image)

… Why convert your views into a sketch?
Annotations (balloons/notes...) refer to the component to which they are attached.
Otherwise for the dotted frames around the views you have no choice, you have to create them on your MEP (but it is not necessary to convert your views for that)...

And making blocks wouldn't be less resource-intensive? With the possibility of re-using from one MEP to another as a result

+1 for the blocks (I hadn't considered his Drawings from this angle...)

Indeed doing blocks seems less greedy, thank you for your answers

While it's doable, SW isn't designed to sketch in a drawing, it can be tedious. Nevertheless, I do it sometimes, but I don't notice a slowdown (SW2021). See your performance settings and configs and analyze the relevance of your approach. It is better to " sketch" in the 3D environment.
