Do you use SolidWorks?

Hello Canadian friend.

Yes, I use SolidWorks (among others) like many here... :-)

Looking forward to talking CAD with our Canadian cousins.

Yves

Hello, I've been using it for 8 years and I'm still so satisfied

Hello

Do you use it personally or in your work?

It's still very expensive as software.

SolidXperts is a vendor exclusively dedicated to SolidWorks :)

It is one of the most affordable CAD software in terms of price for small businesses while offering quite good features.

It's even surprising, because despite its decent value for money, it is not used very often. I myself have never used it in my school while I use it at work during my work-study programs.

Good night.

SolidWokrs has 2,200,000 licenses worldwide, half of which are in the industry (my sources are the SolidWorks or MyCadBlog blogs), I'm not sure we can say that SW is not used much ;)!

@+

I've also been using it for 13 years

I've also been using it for 3 years now.

Yes in duo with TopSolid

See you soon

What version of SolidWorks?

It's true that my sentence was a bit strong! ;-) I wanted to say more specifically that from my point of view (even though I've only just entered the professional world), I see more companies with Catia or Pro Engineer than with SolidWorks. But this is only a finding and not a comparison with the official figures.

Have a nice day.

@Matthieu Certainly because you work in a sector of activity that makes Catia preferred (Automotive?) or within "big BE" (And even then, even there, SolidWorks is present).

The figures of @coyote are accurate...

Finally, let's remember that Catia, like SolidWorks, is Dassault Systems...;

Hello.

Doing CAD with SolidWorks is good.

Specify, if it is not too indiscreet, how did you manage to dispose of it?

There are, of course, those in education who can buy it for 300 Euros.

There are those whose company has SolidWorks.

There are, to my knowledge, very few individuals who can afford to buy SolidWorks for several thousand Euros.

Thank you.

I also use it but as a BTS CPI student;)

Since the SW 98+ version (14 years old: who says better?) and today I work under SW2012.

I have the "collection" of installation CDs since SW98+ !!!
