By making a PDF print, is there a way to create a PDF file that would have the same layers as the draftsight file?
I don't know Draftsight in particular, but when I export from Autocad or SW, the plans are automatically kept. I export as much with PDF Creator as with the integrate function in the software when it is available.
There is an export to PDF function with Drafsight, it allows you to have a PDF with the layers but there is no configuration of the drawings. This prints everything in the window without any notion of scale......
Here, we change the question: you have the layers but the printed part is "badly framed".
Do you work in the object space or in the paper space (I think there are also these notions in Draftsight)?
Isn't there a way to set the layout, either at print time or in a specific menu?
Indeed, I didn't know the PDF export function. This feature allowed me to find layers that are apparently not possible by printing a drawing (paper space). On the other hand, when "exporting" a drawing (paper space), there are no more parameters such as the format of the sheet, the scale. The function exports what it sees.
So I still can't print/export a PDF drawing with the right settings (scale, sheet) and layers.
Hello
For those who want help, I've created a self-help forum to share all kinds of tips on how to learn how to use draftsight for the most common tasks.
