Is it possible to create a material, and use it in sustainability?

Hello

I would like to be able to create a material and use it in the SolidWorks Sustainability module.

I've already been able to create a material from the SolidWorks Material Tree.

I also created a material by creating my material database, from the source code in * format. SLDMAT

With his solutions, I was able to have my new material (density ; color ; etc...). But in Sustainability, the software recognizes my material and can't calculate its LCA. The software shows me at the bottom " Material not supported ; Choose a similar standard material to display the environmental impact.

Thank you in advance.

Hello

Yes, it should work. Have you ever tried to copy a material from the database and modify it with all your settings?

No, the Sustainability database only manages the materials offered, nothing else. This is normal because the study is focused on specific materials.

What you can do is see if you find a Sustainability material that is close to yours; The results will then be very satisfactory.
