Is it possible to recover a native Solidworks file on Catia (to retrieve sketch, history, etc.) without going through STEP or other?

Hello

I just need to recover 3D data by keeping the history or even the "dead" sketches from Solidworks, on CATIA.

Thank you in advance for your expertise...

Hello, companies like Visiativ,  CADInterop, Coretechnologie offer (software) solutions for history reconstruction.

Dixit Esquisses "mortes" since SW I get there but in two steps using the STEP a "volumetric/surface geometric" and a "Wireframe image" then I group the two under CATIA.

Thank you for your answer, does this mean that it is a work performance to be considered and not an automatic interface?

In that case, I can do that as well.

Not to the knowledge

The proposed software is all automatic but the result depends mainly on the functions used in the CAD  software (if they do not have equivalents in the target CAD software, the rewriting software tries to interpret), if it does not succeed it creates a result without history and then continues.

In short, if the functions are rather standard sketch, extrusion, pocket, etc the results are good, it gets complicated with the use of multi-domain sketching, 3D sketching, Body, topological operation (boléene).

Some of these software can be used interactively, which makes it possible to avoid certain (results without history).

For my part (few files / years) and I'm lucky enough to have SW and CATIA I open both and I redo manually.
