In an assembly, I want to save certain elements to be sent to the machining department, but these files should not be related to my assembly. Is this possible?
Hello
Exporting to a STEP format freezes the geometry of the part (the whole).
Hello
Yes, but we also lose the build history, which I would like to avoid.
Thank you for your feedback.
Hello, in this case I propose to remove the references, and to make independent the functions created in the context, (irreversible function, better keep a copy),
Hello;
To be able to keep your building trees, I can only consider two solutions:
Make a composition to take away. (Pack & Go)
or, if you have the Mycad tools, use Project Manager to create a copy of the assembly you want.
Disadvantage => The name of the new assembly will be different from the original.... It's easily surmountable.
Kind regards
For Maclane,
In fact today that's what we already do, but if you export a single part but it has a parent file, either you have to export it too or else it keeps the link with the old part. Our machining department does not want to work with our files for fear of damaging them.
For Lynk,
I think that this is the most appropriate, because we already make a copy for the machinists.
Thank you all for your answers.
