Eurocode and SolidWorks

Hello

Does anyone know if SolidWorks respects the eurocodes?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

The major problem of SW compared to robot is in terms of sizing and justification standards. If your work is subject to Eurocodes (1,2,3) you will have to calculate each case and case combinations with solidworks by taking these elements into account manually. Solidworks will do the calculations you ask it to do but will not automatically calculate every combination of cases. You will have to check the arrows yourself on each section. And above all, it will generate a note that will not have a gross value vis-à-vis the eurocodes and with a control office. You'll have to take the note again under world...

Hello

I don't know eurocode, but as far as the drawing is concerned, SolidWOrks offers the choice between European and US:

Hello!

Solidworks offers lots of annotations, lots of hatch  types, symbols....

It's how you use them that makes you respect the Eurocode or not!

(On the other hand, I think you can choose American or European projection for the drawings).

Found in the SolidWorks Help, here are all the pages that talk about Eurocode:

Partial safety factors γΜ for connections (European standard)

what eurocode you are talking about

See this link

@+ ;-((

I'm talking about the eurocodes for the simulation part, not for the drawing.

I did specify the Simulation brick in my question.

Thank you for these clarifications SEPM.

That seems to answer my question.

So is this the best answer for me?

Damn I'll have to pay a drink to my friend who works in there lol

On the other hand, you need premium and modules for that (simulation, cosmos)
