Hi all!
My 22-year-old son passed and obtained the Catia v5 and Solidworks certifications in July 2025. He has no professional experience.
While waiting for an AUTODCAD training, I would like him to work on the first 2 tools. For the moment he is content to play video games and draw... I'm afraid he'll forget everything quickly!
Where can I find exercises in pdf format (I can print them and link them to my work), or what books do you recommend to me so that he " does homework "?
I'm an accountant, I know absolutely nothing about it.
Thank you all from a somewhat desperate mother!
Alice
Hello and welcome to the Alice forum,
In the forum there are a lot of tutorials=>https://app.mycad.visiativ.com/fr/knowledge-center/tutorials, and also on the WEB.
Maybe your son is looking for another way... For example =>https://www.esma-artistique.com/campus/lyon/
Plus this =>https://www.bellecour.fr/formation/bachelor-animation-3d
that I recommend, because my niece has been there, now she is at her own expense, creation of the " tiny " film for example... To be seen=>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xnclfw-8iak
It's an old video.
Sometimes, by experience, we have to let our young people do it, but help them and perhaps better guide them in their wishes; but not obvious for sure...
Good luck, @+.

Or else cut off the console, drop him off in front of a temp agency, or in front of the job center!
The best way to remember is to apply knowledge at work!
Otherwise change jobs, with a ponytail in your hand, painter, it's practical!
Thank you, in fact I would prefer an " old-fashioned " paper support to make him do an exercise / day otherwise I can't know what he is doing... He has already messed up a school (paying of course) where he was supposed to do a 3D Animation license
Unfortunately now everything is done on the internet, including France Travail, but he will end up with a dumb phone I feel it... As much as I helped him with his CV, his school research etc, now I am completely helpless.
These 2 certifs are a good thing for him because the baccalaureate doesn't mean anything (especially since he has the " Covid baccalaureate").
Hello
There are examples of CSWP exams... In pdf available on the solidworks website: for example a pdf downloadable from this page:
https://www.solidworks.com/fr/certifications/solidworks-cad-design-professional
Useful links available here:
A google search with " solidworks exam pdf " returns a lot of pages (including probably many duplicates referring to the documents available on the solidworks site).
Also try " solidworks training pdf " which links for example to this page: https://araco.ir/en/page/practice-based-learning-solidwork
with a lot of tutorials in pdf (some much too basic if your son has already had a solidworks certificate)
Even better: Also try "solidworks advanced training pdf": the tutorials will be much more spicy.
ho the cow, the violence of the charge ... Do you have a bit of an irritating fast at home at the moment @sbadenis ?
Otherwise, @Alice_Girard , if your son is lucky enough to have Catia and/or Solidworks at home... You can have him draw an object from your daily life. It's very formative and free!
In the morning when you leave, you leave him so-and-so, a pancake, a book etc and he shows you the modeling at the end of the day.
Another idea, he can try to register for this: Golden Tech 2026: challenge yourself by participating in the national design competition! - Community News - myCAD Forum
Hello again Alice_Girard,
Well, it's possible to print it too... See what @froussel proposes in the message =>https://www.solidworks.com/fr/certifications/solidworks-cad-design-professional
Good luck.

Not even @coin37coin !
It's that when it's mom who does the process for the son in front of the console, I can imagine why, especially at 22 years old!
I have more than 20 young people on internships every year (from a few hours to several days) and for the majority it doesn't bother me, quite the contrary!
And without wanting to be mean @Alice_Girard the CV submitted in person to a temp agency or directly to the company, it also works and it forces you not to stay in front of the console!
Edit: And when I say cut the console, I don't mean cutting it into 23 with an axe!
No, the goal is more to push him to move and do the steps himself.
And personally, it's by bringing live CVs that I found my 1st job, which shows that nerve sometimes pays off!
And in any case, going around companies to put your CV and discuss with secretaries / HR / BE manager / company boss is always very formative.
Thank you, I just did it!
