Is there a tool to transform a SolidWorks plan. SLDDRW en . DWG while keeping the technical information (blocks, names, ...)?

Hello

Is there a tool to transform a SolidWorks plan. SLDDRW en . DWG:

          1- en masse

2- By keeping the technical information?

For the (1), I think there must be a way but it's not the most important for the moment, but for the (2) what we would like is for it to create blocks by pieces named after this piece.

This would avoid having to rework the many SolidWorks plans that we will have to transform into DWG... and yes the world of construction :-)

Thank you in advance for those who will have solutions or even leads.

Hello

For the 1 there is Batchconverter: https://help.visiativ.com/mycadtools/2019/fr/BatchConverter.html

For the 2 there is Layer manager: https://help.visiativ.com/mycadtools/2019/fr/LayerManager.html

See the video at the previous link

On the other hand, you will have to start with the 2 and then with the 1!

Thank you sbadenis for your answer.

On the other hand, this requires each plane to be parameterized independently and it allows you to dissociate different parameters (drawing, dimensions, ...)  but what we would like, and that Layer manager does not seem to manage, is that each part of a drawn assembly be generated in a block whose name takes the name of the part so that whoever opens the DWG can find each of the parts and know which code it corresponds to.

Batchconverter is interesting for simply converting in bulk.

Indeed, Layer Manager transforms each 1st level part or component into a layer and not a block, but it is also impossible to rename each layer according to a rule.

Then you can ask the question to the hotline, there may be another utility but I haven't found it or else a development request to the hotline, or even a macro

Yes, I did think of a macro but no one to create it at home, I'm making a ticket and keep you informed of their answer.

After Visiativ response to my ticket, there are no tools of this kind and there are no plans to develop one.

A macro development would be possible but probably without answering all our problems...
