DXF Export with Colors

Hi everyone

I work with Soliworks 2013 for a sheet metal work with laser cutting.

I'm looking for a trick to export my DXFs to my programming software with the possibility to color some lines from the room.

Because my programming software recognizes the red lines of DXF as being engraving instead of cutting

With a plan, it works, but not from the room.

Thanks in advance to rous

Kind regards

Nicholas

Hello

It is apparently not possible from the 3D part to intervene on the color of the entities generated in the DXF or DWG.

So you must first, from your sheet metal part, register your unfolded in DXF or DWG and then modify the color of the entities you want via DraftSight (or other).

Good luck

Kind regards

To complete jmsavoyat's answer:

once the unfolded is made in the SolidWorks drawing, there may be the possibility to put the different types of lines in layers. Of course, these layers have colors that match your machine.

Then you have to see if going through Draftsight is not longer than coloring the lines with your programming software (if it's possible).
