Export dxf + rectangle side capable in excell files

Hi all

I would like to know if any users have the solution to my problem:

We sometimes make sheaths in galvanized sheet metal, which generates a large quantity of parts to be cut by laser. We do the cutting under subcontracting. We therefore provide a dxf file, and a nomenclature, indicating the type of sheet, the thickness, length, width and quantity. Is it possible to export from the asm the dimensions of the capable rectangle of each part constituting the asm, as well as the quantities, in an excell file ideally? This would save us a lot of time.

Today, I know how to massively export dxf thanks to My Cad Tool, but not generate the bill of materials. It must therefore be done by hand.

Any ideas? Any suggestions?

Thank you all

By making a plan, you insert your assembly into it.

You make a nomenclature.

In this nomenclature you can put the personal properties of the different components (I also think the properties from the sheet metal work as well as the quantity!

The length-width properties of plates appear only with a tabbed BOM. Quite confusing I think. I've already dug into this side.

Thank you

If it's a solidxorks file = a part, maybe by putting these dimensions as personal property of the part?

The Mycad suite allows you to create custom properties in bulk on parts. You just have to do it for one and then you have everything!

And go back through a nomeclature, and the most need list in tab!

The problem is as follows: the values to be retrieved are "width / length of sheet metal side". These properties are present in the sheet metal body properties listings, but custom properties don't evaluate them !! So they don't fit into the untabulated nomenclature...

You may need to update your parts list.

Sion, check your properties to see if everything is well informed.

If you have the Smart Properties you can retrieve the value of length, width and thickness of sheet metal.

With ownership of the referenced document.

For your information, the names of the properties:

Width of the sheet metal sidewall

Sheet Metal Sidewall Length

Sheet metal thickness

To retrieve these values it is the only way without making a table of list of welded parts

And then it would be enough to export these properties in an excel table with Smartbom for example.

But for this you need the Axemble utilities.

I have the Axemble utilities. I'm going to dig with Smartbom, I haven't looked too this side.

Thank you
