Hello everyone, question that seemed simple to me before I looked... I can't export in Edrawing under sldws connected 2025 sp1.0. I can't find the extension when I do " save as new " and when I do " save to this PC " nothing happens, no popup... Do you have an idea please??
Hello;
It seems that Edrawing is no longer available since 3DExperience:
# Saving an eDrawings file in 3DEXPERIENCE
In the context of 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS, it is not possible to save files directly in the eDrawings format. This is because eDrawings has been replaced by the 3D Play app on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which is now the recommended file sharing method for all users of this platform.
### How to Create eDrawings Files from 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS
If you need eDrawings files but are only using 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS, here is the method to follow:
1. Save the file to your PC from 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS.
2. Open the SOLIDWORKS file in eDrawings 2024 PRO.
3. Save the file in eDrawings format (easm, eprt, edrw).
This method will allow you to create an eDrawings file that you can use for sharing.
### Additional Notes
** SOLIDWORKS Connected users cannot directly save eDrawings files, but they can share files in .3dxml format via the 3D Play app, which provides similar functionality for viewing and exploring CAD files.*
** The 3D Play app also allows you to send links to access shared files, simplifying the collaboration process.*
In summary, although the option to save as eDrawings is not available directly in 3DEXPERIENCE, there are alternative solutions for creating and sharing eDrawings files.
I think that the option: " Save to PC " only allows you to save the assembly on your hard disk, open it with Edrawing, and then save it in the format *.eprt or *.easm... (A nice waste of time in perspective, thank you 3Dexperience...)
