Data extraction from SW to EXCEL

How to extract parts data ( designations for example ) from SW to an Excel file without going through the bills of materials

and vice versa: from Excel file, fill in the data in SW

Is there a utility?

Thank you

To extract an Excel BOM from SolidWorks:

SMARTBOM (Axemble Utility)

To populate properties in your SolidWorks components:

SMARPROPERTIES (Axemble utility) or "Custom Property Files" (to be configured in SolidWorks)

To complete SolidWorks file properties (without opening the files)

PROPERTIES LIST (Axemble utility)

On the other hand, since an Excel file filling in properties in SolidWorks, I have no idea.

 Hello

It is possible to extract properties from files in a folder and then export them to Excel.

For example, the SmartBom utility allows this.

On the other hand, SmartBom does not allow the opposite.

With the Integration utility, it is possible to extract properties from files in a folder

in text or Word formats but not Excel.

On the other hand, with Integration, you can inject properties into files via an Excel file.

To give you a more precise idea of the possibilities, here are the links to the training videos of these utilities.

Smartbom : http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tutos-formations/tutos/utilitaires-smartbom.html

Integration : http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tutos-formations/tutos/utilitaires-integration.html

I remain at your disposal if you have any further questions on this subject

Hello Dpusel,

At first glance you can create a nomenclature in excell format, to do this you must:

1.Select your assembly, 2. Go to the insert menu, 3. In the tables there is therefore Nomenclature in Excel format, 4. Select the base, 5.Press Ok.

And for the question of extracting the nomenclature:

1.Select the Domain Name you created in excel format, 2. go to the File menu, 3. Save as to save your nomenclature.

On the other hand these are the only solutions I have found, but I don't guarantee that the excel nomenclature is linked to its origin once saved... For the opposite so from the nomenclature, I tried to add a line from the registered version it seems that its does not follow.

I'm on solidworks 2012 so I don't know according to your version maybe it's possible to link them

I hope I was able to help a little ;)

Thank you for your answers

So I'll see with SmartBom if it can meet my expectations
