Extracting PDM Folder to External Disc

Hello

Does anyone have a system to extract a PDM file in copy with assemblies but also word documents,

The arbo is quite complex and go the other file takes time.

I have cad/PDMtool, but data recovery insert a wndows folder but doesn't do the opposite

Hello

You can use the EPDM tree copy function (Tools/Copy tree...). In the window that opens you select your destination folder then the checkmarks that interest you (without forgetting those of the copy column) and finally you have it copied, normally this embarks all the files included in the content of the assembly to be copied except what the administrator has excluded from possible copies in the settings either of the user or of the group in which the user.

Kind regards

Hello @d.roger, I tried this manipulation, but he tells me too long path and stops all action

I'm staying in Admin ePDM so no legal problems

It works in the subfolders so this step solves my problem

Hello

Be careful, the name of a Windows file must not exceed 256 characters including path (from memory) so if EPDM file names are already close to this number and the name of the destination folder is longer than the name of the home folder then indeed Windows can refuse the copy with this type of message.

Kind regards

Yes it's a basic notion the 256 characters, but I inherit the administration of an existing product so no choice (for the moment)
