Hello
I would like to use an assembly on the subject I'm working on but it tells me it's already open in another app!!
While the user concerned is me!!
I turned off the PC and restarted several times but nothing helps!!
Have you ever experienced this problem?
What solution did you find ?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Stéphane
Hello
The assembly has probably once stuttered, see if in the folder there is a file with a $ in it; If there is one, just delete it and it will be good again.

Hello, thank you for your answer.
I checked but I don't have a file with a $!!
I made a copy of it by renaming it which allows me to work on it but I didn't
managed to delete it!!
I don't work locally but on a server so I can't do exactly everything I want to :)!!
Have a nice day.
Kind regards
Stéphane

Hello
Make a copy of the assembly and tonight overwrite the original.
may the force be with you.

Hello This frequently happens when a solidworks process is improperly closed and locks access to files. Check the Task Manager process list to see if a SolidWorks process remains even though it is not visible. If so, delete it.
Thank you, I've already done all these manipulations but without success!!
With a copy it works fine but I just can't delete the file that is locked.
In itself, that doesn't stop me from being able to move forward!
Thank you again to all and have a good day.
It is indeed at the server level that you need to act, you have certainly had a network connection cut.
