XYZ file turned into solid with SolidWorks

Hi all

Do you know if it is possible to obtain a solid from a file of point xyz?

I manage to obtain surfaces with scanto3D but from there to have a solid ...

Thank you for your feedback.

Hello, we can use the fill function or see this tutorial.

See this question:

@ Mac84 do you have a screen of your surface and what version of SW do you have

Check already if you don't have a non-joined junction line in blue in general

otherwise we go through the sewing

Once all your surface is clean so all well sewn the thicken function to have a solid

Once your solid is done you have the possibility to cut it and get the sketches that will allow you to extrude to the surface be careful with the face angles which should not have angles greater than 90°

Hello

There is an easy soluiton with Covadis. You create a terrain with the xyz points, then you go to Covadis 3D\Terrain Visualization\Solid Transformation.

Then you launch SW, you open the .dwg file, and import as well as 3D curves or model.
