Hello

Is there a need to install an add-in to be able to generate a secure file when we validate an Excel file via our validation flow?

For example, for our slddrw plans, when we change state in the flow for approval, a pdf version is generated automatically, I would like to reproduce the same thing for my excel files, it might not be a pdf version but if I can generate for example a duplicate of the file or a format that I may not know and that would be suitable for an excel file it would be Cool.

What is a secure file? If you're talking about a file in the PDM vault, normally, the creation can be done automatically by rules (of the data map) it seems to me, so no need for an add-on: the validation of the flow alone can do it (the PDM pros may contradict me).

Hello, you can make a copy of your Excel document and make it read-only, without the possibility of deletion (only by the administrator)
