Hello everyone,
I have a question about the cylindrical "GAS" threads.
I see on the supplier documentation of different components the letter "A" or "B" noted just after the size of the thread as for example:
DN 63: G 1/4 B
DN 100, 160: G 1/2 B
This is in fact the tolerance of the thread (the B = 2x A) and any negative values.
However, I wonder if it is useful to specify this tolerance on the taps that will accommodate these components?
Thank you and have a good day everyone.

Hello
With us, we never specify tolerance!

Me neither, never specified and never in trouble.
Just like I don't specify for metric taps: SolidWorks offers a "6g" tap adjustment that I systematically remove.

Thank you for your answers!
So I wouldn't indicate A or B!
Whitworth ISO 228-1 thread (DIN 259, BSPP) Pressure angle 55° I would even say ;)

no tolerance on the rating because in the cartridge we will say that there is a general ISO tolerance .... xxxx ..... so no need to note on the thread
Hello
ISO 2768 takes into account threads?
Thank you
