Thread created with stud function

Hi all

Does anyone know how to modify the text, in drawings, of threads created with the stud function. The function is nice although there is room for improvement, but the annotation added to the call number is a ***. SW 2022 SP5

Hello

I think it's in the file:
C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS\lang\english\calloutformat.txt

It seems to me that all the formatting of quotations and other things is in it.
Maybe a line of research...

Personally, I didn't have the opportunity to play with it. I still advise you to make a backup copy of this file before any changes, you never know...

Have a nice weekend.

Thank you
but not found in calloutformat, I continue my research and keep the community informed, it can be useful

Hello;

I think we should look at (in the CalloutFormat file):

** [ANSI METRIC] **
COSMETIC THREAD CALLOUTS

MACHINE-THREADS-INTERNAL=
MACHINE-THREADS-EXTERNAL=
STRAIGHT-PIPE-TAPPED-THREAD-INTERNAL=
STRAIGHT-PIPE-TAPPED-THREAD-EXTERNAL=

(Proceed with caution (and make a backup first) ... I don't have time to test with other values...) Keep us posted.

Kind regards.

Hello,

In the stud function, edit the thread representation.
Strangely, unchecking the "show type" option does not solve the problem (bug?); The text must therefore be corrected.

Thank you MacLane and Silver_Surfer,
for the moment I can't find it, it's a real headache because the annotation appears with simply
< DIM> as a value.
Thank you DS for having this brilliant idea, it's true that's all we have to do
I am not closing the subject for the moment.
Have a nice day
