I am trying to show on the plan of a part the dimension of the gas thread.
I should point out that in the 3D I used the "drilling assistant" function, and chose the ISO standard, type "tapped hole for straight pipes", size "G3/8".
But on the map it's "M16.66" that appears when I take this odd. How do I make "G3/8" appear automatically?
For the moment I replace in the property manager, but if I change this diameter in the 3D the plan will not follow automatically, which is a source of error.
No way to rate the thread with "Symboel of drilling" (I just tried).
On the other hand, SW's help gives this:
If you are attaching a drill symbol to an ANSI tapped hole in inches, and the drawing units in use are in millimeters, the hole diameter and drilling depth are shown in mm. The thread description retains the ANSI designation in inches. You can replace the thread description with other variables in the Symbol Variables dialog box.
It may be the beginning of the track but I think it's all about the options.
In the attached screenshot, I circled the options that seem to me to be in question.
The major disadvantage of this method is that if you change the size of the tapped hole in the 3D, your drawing does not follow, and there is a big risk of error...
