Scan Function in SolidWorks 2014

Hi all

Is it possible, during a scan in SolidWorks 2014, to make the junction lines disappear when changing direction (see pj)?

The goal is to have a visual as if it were the same tube and not several elements put together.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Have a good day everyone.

I don't think so, but by putting you in a shaded image without an edge, the lines disappear.

If you absolutely want to stop seeing these features, there are 2 possibilities:

1) Change your display options: Tools/Options/View-Select/Display of tangent edges of parts/Assemblies. Select "Removed". Let's see if it doesn't become disturbing for you in other situations

2) If it's only for representation, select all the entities of your guide curve (right click "Select chain"), then Tools/Spline Tools/Fit Spline. Your original strokes go into construction and a spline is superimposed.

Hello, yes it's possible.

You have to exit the sketch, select it and do: Insert > Curve > Composite.

You will end up with a single, unfractionated entity

The technique I proposed allows you to modify your sketch as you wish and the composite curve will follow your modifications perfectly!

@Joss: it doesn't work to remove fictitious edges as Sébastien asks.

In the PC, with the same basic sketch:

- the leftmost volume is made with the composite curve

- the other is made with the sketch.
