thank you in advance

It's with solidworks 2017 at least because I don't have that on 2016

Hello

Look there to see if you find what you are looking for because it is a new feature for 2018...

Thank you cobra 427 but I've already stumbled upon this and I still can't do it

Hello

I just did a test on this function and my conclusion is that you can't convert a plied into a mortise/tenon.

To integrate this function you need 2 sheet metal bodies in your case.

This works on the same body on the sole condition that it loops back on itself.

That's what it looks like on the same type of sheet metal as you.

So I made an L-shaped sheet on the left and an S-shaped one on the right.

At the beginning of the function use 2 occurrences and small values like 5mm to have a preview of the function, if the values are too large it shows you nothing.

On the other hand, for a sheet metal that loops back on itself, I was forced to leave 0.1mm of play for the function to be taken. (otherwise he says it overlaps.... even when it doesn't touch).

I'll see to detail this during the day if I can  and if it's your request ;)

Here is my sandbox in SW2018

I tested with an L-shaped piece (grey part) to see if the group function was usable.... And no, because there are 3 bodies and you only need 2.

So I created a U-shaped piece (in red) there it works, group 1 on the left and group 2 on the right.

You will find attached my part in SolidWorks 2018

After that there are other small settings to make in this function but it's still intuitive (game.. deviation... time lag... etc)
