Functions that are erased when flattened?

I have a sheet metal piece without configurations, only the unfolded one.

By what miracle one of my piercings is erased at the time of flattening.

The function is indeed checked and deleted in the flat-pattern.

this is not the first time this has happened since the 2013 SP5 version.

I have a very relative confidence in the sheet metal product.

And I waste a lot of time checking the parts.

In short, not too much time to dwell on the subject but if anyone has this type of problem and if they have a solution.

Note: I also specify that the function deletion property for the nvle config was not checked.

Indeed, not logical!!! It smells like the "old bug".

A lead:

Maybe because your piercings have external references?

Do a test by listing the external references and make it break, and regade if it changes something

Hi, you can try to create the hole in the unfolded configuration.

In the material removal function 8, have you checked the "Normal material removal" option? It could come from that.

If it is not checked, the geometry is such that it should be made after bending (machining). With the option checked, the geometry is worked to be foldable.

Hello

I totally agree with @Benoit.LF even if logically this option should be automatically checked when you are in sheet metal.

Hello, I have been working with the sheet metal module of Solidworks for more than 2 years, I have encountered several bugs yes, but not this one.

Won't it come from your model of the room?

A bad handling or other that would have changed your model of part.

Edit: I hadn't seen Benoit's answer. It is true that in all cases, except in special cases,  this "normal removal" option must be ticked

Hello to everyone who replied.

And all my apologies for answering so late, I was on the construction site riding my elevator.

I just found my CAD workstation and I just tried your different solutions.

1 .  Having unchecked the deletion of the function in the flat-pattern config, I can no longer reproduce the bug.

2. I tried to check or uncheck the normal pickup, no difference on the unfolded.

3. External references are not a problem either.

in short, everything is back to normal.

This little box that was checked ruined my day on the site but never mind

That's how it is.

I thank again the people who made the effort to respond.

If it happens again, before unchecking, I'll try your solutions.

You're welcome, it's normal, that's what we're here for =).

Solidworks is quite capricious from time to time, often it is enough to restart or even reboot the machine for everything to go back to normal. Registry keys that launch badly or whatever, I'm not a computer scientist, but I admit that sometimes, it ruins our lives because we look for a path for hours when we just have to start from scratch.

Finally if your problem is solved, that's the main thing.

Can you choose the best answer that suits you?

This allows us to close the issue and reward the work of all of us. =)

A good evening to you!
