I wanted to know if there is a way to duplicate/copy an mep to have a different background map (e.g. client cartridge), but keeping the fact that the changes made on the mep 1 are transferred to the others.
For the moment, I'm doing my mep and then copying and reloading the background plan which is fine afterwards. So if a change is made on one mep, I also have to transfer it to the other mep.
I think there was a similar discussion on the forum but I can't find it.
@bart: I don't change the format of the MEP. But some data from the cartridge.
For example: having a custom basemap for a client. So I have a plan for suppliers with a title block that doesn't show the name of the customer (initial plan) on the other side, a customer plan: copy of the initial plan except at the cartridge level.
I did a little test, and this is the result. I just made a copy and paste of my background from one layer to another. In your application, you can make 2 different cartridges with the values (retrieved from the 3D) you want, just switch from one layer to another.
I have a bit of the same problem, but in a different way I create the first drawing with my cartridge, I save and then I change the property of the sheet (client cartridge) and save the file under another name.
Advantage the evolutions on the two file follows the part,
Disadvantage these are 2 separate files.
I would have liked to be able to do the same thing but in the same file and using Sheet 1, Sheet 2 etc.
@mathieu anger: Probably, but I'll have to follow all the tutorials first...
@ s.leitao: your solution of having 2 sheets is what I'm currently doing (mep 1 company, then copy/paste on a new sheet, then change the background plan on the second sheet). But when there is a change on one of the sheets of the annotation style or even evolution of the part/assembly, you have to import the new dimensions on both planes. I find myself having to copy these changes, being careful not to forget any.
But perhaps in the copy of the sheet there is a way to tell him to follow all the evolutions of the first sheet.
@lucas.Prieur: Thank you for finding the link. You will have to explain to me the method to find similar questions... I rarely succeed.
@jose-accessa, jfaradon, lucas: I hadn't thought of the layer move for the background. But then when you generate the pdf (or other format. with batchconverter or other), is there a way to output the same shot by asking it to modify a layer each time? and also to change the name of the plan at the same time otherwise it will be overwritten by the next one.
