Force in Bolt Connectors

Hello,

Probably a stupid question but when I check the forces in bolt connectors (whether they are prestressed or not), I get 1 axial force, 1 shear force but also a bending moment.

I admit that I have trouble physically understanding the presence of this bending, and how does it integrate it into the verification of the bolt in post-processing?

Thank you in advance for your help

Sincerely,
Emmanuel

Hello,

Take a look:

and

For me it's the bending of your rigid bar under the effect of the forces applied to your bolt (in practice we often tend to come off on one side and press more on the other because of the rigidity of the parts we tighten and at the points of application of the forces).
If you leave the strain scale factor as the default, this behavior is usually visible on your model.
