SW drilling jig

Hi all

Like many of us here, I work with a number of commercial parts that I have to insert into mechanically welded frames. With each new chassis I have to redo the holes of these parts with the drilling assistant. The fixing distances of these parts never change from one chassis to another, so I wondered if there was not the possibility of creating a drilling database on Solid.

Ex: Name of my jig = calpeda pump --> Bim I slide my drilling function on my sheet metal and I have the 4 M12 threads with the right centers to position! The time saving would be considerable I think.

Thank you in advance for your contribution

Julian

Smart component!! :) you create a new part with your 4 M12 threads and then you save your part in the design library.

As simple as that.

edit: there are probably tutorials if you are looking for a library of functions.

we found Master Yoda for OBI WAN!! :)

You can also create library functions:

Hello

There is also the Composition to Go function which allows you to recreate a room and to be able to change référence.et the second advantage in a composition to take away is your drawing already done!!
