Automatic draw generation of a sym part

When generating the symmetry of a part or a mechanically welded assembly, is there a way to generate a draw in automatic, please?

This could be the symmetry of the original plan.

The icing on the cake. Could we keep the same number as the original with the mention sym. The number being given by the SW E-PDM

Thank you

Hello

Since it is not possible to draw a symmetrical part in SolidWorks either automatically or with the objects in the model, we use an old simple but effective method:

The piece is called "JEU ... " and we insert the 2 pieces in this drawing with an axis of symmetry and a note:

SYMMETRICAL PARTS  :
ONE PIECE RIGHT ONE PIECE LEFT

See attached image.

Hello

@Lucas, it is possible to create a symmetrical part in SolidWorks and, of course, do the drawing.

To make the symmetrical part have the dimensions of the original part, simply check the option "Insertion", "Symmetrical part" and check "Model dimensions" when creating the symmetrical part. In the drawing it will be possible to import the objects of the model and have the dimensions.

Kind regards

Hello

In this case you have to quote on the model, is it right?

See you soon!

Thank you @jmsavoyat, indeed it works!

The last time I tested on an older version of SolidWorks, the symmetrical dimensions appeared just like on the original part!

Dimensions can be inserted by the model object, but they still appear in gray because they cannot be modified.
