Auto-generate pdf and dwg

Hello

Is there a way to automatically generate PDF and DWG files from the drawing?

Let me explain, at the moment, to save the files in DWG I register under and I go through PDF creator to get a PDF file.

Nevertheless this process takes too long, I would like to know if it is possible to have a button (or something like that) that would save (in the desired folder) the drawing in dwg and pdf format. there can also be 2 commands, one for PDF and one for DWG)

 3 possibilities:

  • there are macro  buttons from SolidWorks that can do this to you in semi-automatic, that is to say that each action on this button the macro creates the PDF or DWG or both at the same time. (you will find macros easily on this forum)
  • Otherwise if you have the Axemble utilities (Batchconverter or Integration), you can bulk convert to the drawing series in the format you want and in the directory you want.
  • If you have the EPDM (Technical Data Management) add-on with SolidWorks, if you have set up your workflow well, via a dispatch you can automatically do what you want.

Otherwise there are macros but that's the strong point of @PL

I wanted to specify a little thing, I'm under inventor 2009, and I don't know how to use macros ...

I can't help you then... I don't know INVENTOR!!!!!!!!!

Inventor..... good sorry stockings

Well, I keep looking on my side. thank you anyway :-).

Apart from creating a macro or finding a utility...

I remember when I used inventor, there was a utility to do this. After that, you have to be ready to pay :s (like the following link. But there are a bunch of others that will surely suit better http://www.hurni.ch/ph-inventools.html)

I made a small macro to put "GOOD FOR FAB" or "GOOD FOR QUOTE" on my plans,

save as DXF or PDF and can print or not.

Super convenient to save time!!

Hello

Here is a fairly simple tutorial to create a VBA macro:

http://autodeskmfg.typepad.com/blog/2012/01/using-inventor-ilogic-to-save-multipl-formats.html

Or a full macro here:

http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/ilogic-macro-for-exporting-idw-dwg-inventor-drawings-to-dxf-tip9561

Or more information here:

Thank you for these answers :-).

@ David be3: I can't open the format you sent me.

The answers you gave me (thank you again) confirmed my doubts. Namely that what I am asking seems to me to be impossible on inventor 2009 (the utilities being compatible from the 2011 and the ilogic macros having been integrated from the 2011 as well).

Personally, I would tend to prefer the utility solution. (related to the fact that macros, programming, it's not my thing). But will my boss be willing to pay (in addition to the software update that will be necessary...) ^^.

In any case, thank you for these answers (once again, never 2 without 3) and good luck to all of you
