Generetive shape design

Hello

How can you remove a surface from a body in Generetive Shape Design?

Hello

Need more precision?

You want to "withdraw":

- Remove a surface from a geometry?

- Moving from one polygon body to another?

A screenshot with the graph and selecting what you want to remove would help.

Remove a surface from a body

Your image didn't get through!!

There is no "Body" under Generative Shape Designe (GSD).

The surface container is a "geometric set"

Surfaces are derived from primitives (sketches or curves, straight lines, etc.)

They are created by functions such as Extrusion, Scan, Fill, etc.).

The grouping of surfaces is done in the "Assemble" function.

if you want for example to delete the surface of the geometry (to the right of your image) without using the cut function

Of course, we can remove any function that created the face  in the selection list of "Assembler.1" (but I guess that's not what you're trying to do.

There is a delete face command under GSD but it behaves like the Part Design command.

It can delete but it fills the hole (so on a cube you can't delete one of these faces).

On the other hand, see example below, you can delete all the faces of a shape (as in the design subpart)

The best way is to extract the edges (multiple extractions) and then cut them with this extraction.

That's not what I want.. Thank you anyway

Hello

It is also possible to disassemble the surface part, remove the surface, and reassemble the remaining surfaces. But if the part is complex, it makes a large amount of unit surfaces and it weighs down the model.
