Hatching on the Surface of a Part [Solidworks]

Hi all

In order to avoid modeling multiple removals of materials that could weigh down the part, I want to represent these removals by hatching.

So, how do you assign a surface finish with hatching on a part? Can we also manage the angle of these hatches via a parameter?

Thank you

I just did a test with a sketch that is actually visible in the drawing.

Hello

Just add an appearance and then  in the feature manager edit this appearance.

As visible as an attachment.

Thanks Remrem but in this case how to manage the angle of the hatching?

In projection, choose Projection.

Idea:

Why not remove material from your representative area (ep 0.1 mm) on your piece and simply change the color?

You could, in addition, assign a particular color to different types of std machining

@flegendre that's what I do on my boxes painted in biton But I have to do it in config to avoid distorting the drawing.

Thank you all,

@remrem, how do you set the value of the angle? I don't see this data

@flegendre, yes I was doing that as well but I would like to simplify it as much as possible because my files will be very numerous and I must be able to see the hatching, so I can neither remove material, nor fiare levels of detail

I'm going to try to make a decal!

@remrem, I adapted your solution with an image that I created from Word. Thus I was able to assign hatching to my image.

On the other hand, I can't control the angle of my image. Well I can do it manually but I would have liked to block this angle on the diagonal of my rectangle whatever its size (see below):
