Can you help me solve this problem of logic of mechanical fluid systems:
An oil burner receives, via an oil elevator, the oil from a 3L oil tank.
The oil elevator uses a pump to store a quantity of oil in the 3L tank. The pump in the oil elevator draws 0.1L/sec until its tank is full. The oil burner is lit for about 10 hours/day.
How long would the full oil tank last?
A) 100 days B) 150 days C) 200 days D 250 days E) 300 days
Thank you for explaining to me how to find the right answer....

You are missing a given what is the oil consumption of the burner/hours
or its power
so we summarize an oil pump that feeds a tank flow rate 0.1 L /s so 360 l/hour
your tank has a volume of 3 l
Filling time from 0 to 100%
360/3 = 120° hour so 30 s
One thing I don't understand are you talking about fuel and oil burners?
never heard of it ;-)
either it's a FOD or an oil burner
What is its oil consumption?
