Suction hotte

Good evening dear comrades

I would like to know if some of you have any notions/knowledge about extractor hoods to design one with the whole ventilation system, and the shape to be respected for the evacuation of oily industrial steam.

I have to carry out a project for a hood suspended above an unenclosed work area. equivalent to a 900/1300mm table

Hi Gerald,

Information taken from the lady (BE fluid), look at these pages on hoods for fryers.

Be careful, for a hood placed above a fryer-type appliance (hot oil that is easily flammable) and according to articles CO and CH of the fire safety regulations , you need an extinguishing system that is often integrated into the hood (above the fryer, so very often in the hood!).

Hoping that it helps you, if not specify a little more your need: environment,...

See this link for a reminder of the basics

https://www.jura.ch/Htdocs/Files/Departements/DECC/AMT/Documents/PDF/Ventilation_PMadelaine.pdf

file:///C:/Users/gtherm/Downloads/ed695.pdf

Note

Don't forget to take into account that any air extracted must come from somewhere else.

so you need a fresh air supply so as not to put the room in depression

And to calculate the extraction, you have to quantify the quantity of luent to be extracted

Have a nice day

@ Gerald

I have posted as an attached file the PDF on the previous answer

Hi Gerald,

I have already worked on a project of this type, it was for the evacuation of oily steam in a grinding machine.

There were different parts of the hood:

- The first was a screen to block large chips that can damage the filter

- The second part was a drawer containing the filter

- It is imperative to provide an anti-backfire slide!

I put you several documents that I had used ;)!

@ Aurélien .... what to say there is not one good answer but several lol C is a hell of a file that you have put together

As pointed out @gt22 the environment plays a lot of roles, and I have just learned that there are planned constructions, walls etc which changes the situation a lot.

I'm waiting a little longer to close the question but I think I have all the necessary elements to release something good.
