Hi,
I designed 1 voronoi chair and grid cylinder using Rhino and grasshoper programs. I need to make static analysis of these designs, and I will use solidworks. For this, I need to fix the shapes and apply force. First, when I try to open the chair as a solid model in solidworks, I get a warning saying « STL file is too large to be imported as a solid. » And I can’t start the analysis. But although I can open the grid cylinder as a solid model, I can’t apply any force to its surface and fix it. I am sharing both stl files with you in the attachment, can you help me with the solid analysis?

The stl file is not a solid format and therefore cannot be used for calculations.
If your 3d is not too complicated (no image preview so difficult to see without downloading), the easiest way is to redraw your parts in solidworks.
If it looks like this (non-contractual image):

Maybe you just have to redraw one of the 2 uprights to apply the load to it and check the resistance of the whole.

When opening an STL file in Solidworks, there are options to open as a solid model, as a graphic, and as a mesh. I need to open the file as a solid model so that I can do a complete and accurate analysis. It is very difficult to redraw this geometry. Do you have any other advice?
