Jpeg image in MEP block

In a drawing (SW2014)  I can no longer create a block that includes a jpeg image.

Hello

To make an image block, you have to select at least a second entity (like a dot!). SW refuses to make a block with just one image.

Could it come from there?

By making a sketch, then insert sketch image, create a block and save it?

It's not working?

To insert an image into a drawing:

  1.  Click Sketch  Image (Sketch toolbar) or InsertImage.

  2. In the Open dialog box, browse for an image file, and then click Open.

  3. Select the desired options in the Sketch Image PropertyManager and click .

The images are inserted with their coordinates (0,0) at the position (0,0) in the drawing (lower left corner).

  • You can drag and drop images and resize them in the graphics area.

  • You can control the position, size, rotation, and transparency of images in the Sketch Image PropertyManager .

  • To open the PropertyManager and enable dragging, double-click the image.

  • @+ ;-))

It is not possible to add an image to a block.

When we make a cartouche or can have a block of the cartridge, but then we have to add the sketch image to have the logo.

As an attachment, I had put a screenshot of the block I would like to make.

There is a jpeg image, a note, and strokes.

In the block I manage to put everything except the image

Can you attach your original image? STP.

Attached is the jpeg

@opiep27 seems to be right, no way to put an image in a block. :/

I think that it might be interesting to create an image with your representation of the grating, the frame and the text.

Then you insert the "full" image. You'll have a kind of block without the links and harder to modify. But functional.

Not stupid @remrem, but I like it average.....

I agree. Then you have to choose between a "full image" or image and a separate block.

Personally, I choose the second solution.

And why not make a piece with the block and the image. And then import it wherever you want.

It's not great either, but hey, I'll try.

Yet another solution:

  1. you represent a 3D grating,
  2. you insert its view into a drawing,
  3. you place your frame and your annotation in the view
  4. you right-click "Convert view to sketch", select the "Insert as block" option and validate.

You end up with a block that you can save in sldblk!
