Import Hidden Sketch Quotation

Hello

In a mep under SW, I import my dimensions from the objects of the model. So far so good.

But I can't import my dimensions from the hidden sketches used to do a swipe function. Unless I show his sketches, which I would like to avoid.

In the import options, we have: "include hidden function objects", but since it's not a function but a sketch, nothing happens.

Do you know if there is an option or a way to normally have these sketch dimensions hidden without having to display them?

Rq: Hidden sketches are not directly in the swipe function. Because I started with several sketches on several shots, rather than a 3D sketch (maybe because of the weekend!).

and if you convert your sketches into a 3D sketch and then you do your scan function, what happens to your quotes in direct import?

I'll test. even if the part then has other functions behind it...

But since I'm using multiple sketches, I then convert them all into a 3D sketch for scanning. So in this 3D sketch, there are no dimensions.

Hello

You can't import  into all the views or just one  ? It is possible that you are not on the right plan.

may the force be with you.

@obi wan: that's what I also thought at first. I projected all the views, but the force didn't come to solve my pb...

@ opiep27 it 's the conversion of your sketches into 1 3D sketches if of course it's the same function that results from it

Have you tried to do an automatic rating

Automatic dimensioning of a drawing

You can use the Auto Dimension tool to insert datum dimensions into drawing views such as baseline dimensions, chain dimensions, or ordinals. The Auto Dimension tool works similarly in sketches.

A baseline rating scheme is shown below:

To automatically dimension a drawing:

  1. In a drawing document, click Smart  Dimensioning (Dimensions/Relationships toolbar).

  2. Select the Auto-Scoring tab .

  3. Set the properties in the Auto Dimension PropertyManager, and then click OK .

The auto dimension is not associated with the model to make changes from the mep. (customer requirement).

I'll test that this lunchtime the first solution...

Have you  regaled if your dimensions are well marked for a drawing?

Yes, they are well marked for MEP.

If I view the sketch in the right view, and I import the dimensions, they appear fine.

Then I hide the sketch, the dimensions disappear.

Have you checked, "include hidden function objects".

may the force be with you.

Yes, nothing happens whether it is checked or unchecked. But since it's a sketch and not a function, it may make a difference.

@gt22: I must have missed something, how do you transform your 2D sketch into 3D? At the beginning when you choose the type of sketch, then it can't be changed, can it?

Did you want me to convert my 2D sketch strokes into a 3D sketch? If so, that's what I do. And so I don't have the dimensions, and if I add them, they will be piloted.

Hello

To my knowledge, and to my great regret, it is impossible to import the dimensions of a sketch that is not used by a function

@ opiep to convert x sketches that are linked together to 3D sketch

just create a 3D sketch

and convert the entities of the selected sketches

ex idiot for fun

see attached file in SW 2012
