LEICA 3D scan import

Hello

I will soon receive a 3D scan file with LEICA technology from a site to implant a Superconducting cable system. My question is the following, is there an easy way to convert this file into a format that can be used by SolidWorks (without necessarily going through ScanTo3D because I'm a bit afraid of the size of the final file) as well as in Visualize to generate renderings with this scan as well? Or are there any add-ons to SolidWorks (or LEICA) to perform this task?

Thank you in advance

Hello Double L,

It seems to me that with the Cloudworks add-on from Leica, you will be able to easily exploit your point cloud (visual of your cloud, face detection,...). You need to make sure that your cloud is in LGS format to be able to use it with this add-on.

Good night

Hello

Using extract3d for example and with * files. E57 of 4go max

Bjr,
I'm currently in the test phase for 3D scanning.
That is the information I have now.

For Solidorks plugins you will find the info below:

Xtraxt3d from Polyga: XTract3D Add-in for SOLIDWORKS: Scan-to-CAD Tool (polyga.com)

Limitation to E57 format, max size 4.7Gb

Veesus : Point Clouds for SolidWorks – Veesus

No limitations and accepts E57, RCP, RCS, PTX, PTS formats after quick conversion.
