I have the plans of our factory redone by an architect. He offers me to get them either in dxf or dwg. Which format will be best suited for use with SolidWorks 2020. I use dxf when I need to export a SolidWorks drawing, but in import I don't know which is preferable, knowing that I don't know the dwg.

What I can tell you from personal experience, DWG files are more compact and lighter than DXFs. So I prefer DWG for large designs

Thank you for this answer, I tested an example of a dwg sent by our supplier and it turns out that the one requires more manipulation to recover exploitable entities compared to the dxf.
