Importing a Step or Parasolid File Data Loss

Hello

I have a partner's piece to modify.
I work on Solidworks, he on NX. I was sent the files in step and parasolid but in both cases I have the same problem: when it comes to doing the function recognition on Solidworks many elements are not recognized and I end up with a big imported block that I can't modify...

How can I improve this?

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Can you post your step file for us to take a look at???

Hello, before the recognition of the functions have you checked the imported part??? "import diagnosis"!?

in theory in parasolid

you shouldn't have any discharge

unless it is an assembly

and you're in need of part files

Do you do the recognition in automatic or "manual"?

It often happens that SW is unable to interpret functions that intersect or overlap.

Personally, the few times I do it, I always use the manual mode

Hello

-Yes I carry out the import diagnosis, a defective side is found. I fix it before continuing

-I perform automatic recognition of standard functions. I have never done manual recognition...

-I don't think I can post the part to you, it doesn't belong to me....

Try to do it manually.

It allows you to choose the functions you want to recognize and especially the order in which you want to recognize them.

Depending on the modifications you want to make, the "move faces" function works on a solid dead
