Hello
With Solidworks 2022 Sp5, when I create a symmetrical part with "model dimensions" checked, they do not appear when I insert the model objects into a drawing.
Can you help me?
Symmetrical part, it's a bit vague, can you tell us precisely how the symmetrical part is made.
From an assembly, a multibody part?
If it's from an assembly with a symmetrical component with a symmetric derived config, or a symmetrical part?
Edit: in all 3 cases, not sure that you can recover the dimensions since a symmetry function is used (symmetry of the body and not of each sketch and functions)
It is a simple symmetrical part created with the "insert" function "symmetrical part" from the original part.
This worked perfectly well in previous versions, but the procedure may have changed
Indeed it works in 2020, on the other hand not in 2022 so I can't confirm to you.
On the other hand, symmetries and Solidworks are an old story full of problems!
Is there any hope that it will work again?
If you are under maintenance, make a ticket to the hotline and you ask them to confirm the bug, if verified or known request for improvement via the hotline (more efficient if it's Visiativ than you or me)
And with a little luck improvement for the 2023.
For the 2022, it's too late, the SP5 is the latest version.
Thank you
