Insert part with property mananger

Hello

I have a question that has been itching for a while.

When inserting a part containing several configurations and made with the property manager, if you insert it from component insertion, it is possible during the dialog box to pin the component in order to insert it several times in a row without having to reinsert the component.

But when you insert the same part using the design library, you can only drag one part and when you validate the dialog box closes.

So you have to slide it each time and re-select the size of the screw and its length.

Is there a way to insert a component made with property manager with the automatic  constraints via the design library several times or do I have to proceed in a different way?

The goal is to insert the screws with automatic constraints in the easiest way when you don't have the toolbox but a personal library.

Hello

I'm thinking directly of the repetitions of compositions driven by a function (drilling), or of multiple constraints, or to copy with constraints (very practical).

See my tutorial to get started with SolidWorks with some tips:

Function-driven repeat:

http://help.solidworks.com/2012/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_DVE_COMPPAT_DERIVED.htm

Copy with constraints:

Otherwise, another tip: when you are on the library part, you right-click properties to copy the complete path of the part, then you paste it in "insert a part": not very tedious and clever, but it achieves the desired goal...

To answer .PL repetition driven by a sketch is indeed very practical and used in our country as often as possible.

On the other hand, some uses (drilling on different sides or multiple parts) do not allow this use.

And to copy with the constraints it's longer than dragging with automatic control. Because for a screw there are 2 constraints so 2 faces to select. (even if this function is very practical)

On the other hand, I just saw on an English forum a rather practical technique which consists of copying the screw by selecting an edge (and not a face, otherwise it opens a dialog box) and drag it into position using CTRL.

If other proposals are welcome.

Hello

For the insertion of screws we use the bookcase.

Then [Ctrl] and dragging on an edge duplicates the part and positions it automatically using Smartfasteners.

If the part is in a vacuum [Alt] and dragging on an edge will automatically move the part and position it using Smartfasteners.

See you.

@remrem: How did you add the annotations, is it automatic or by hand?
