Still in my re-learning of Creo. Is it possible to open a piece, to go into an assembly and to incorporate an already open piece? Or should you necessarily go and get it from your storage folder?
Hello
If the room is open, you have to go to the "file": In session

Thank you for your answers@s.b
On the other hand, when I do what you tell me, I don't just have the rooms open.
If I open an assembly + a part that I want to assemble in it for example. By clicking on "in session", I have all the parts of the assembly that appear there too. So I still have to look for the part to assemble.
Unless I missed an option?
No, that's right, "in session" corresponds to all the parts and assemblies opened or loaded in the session. So when you open an assembly, the parts that are there, have been loaded when opened.
Yes, you have everything that has been opened.
If you have too many pieces to find your way around, you can, in the "File name" box at the bottom, type a piece of the file name.
e.g.: *bridle*
You will see that the pieces with the word bridle appear.

Well, I didn't really find the right solution. But @S.B.'s solution is the closest to it (yes, it took me a little time to test everything ^^)
In short, all that's left to do is wait for Creo 3 and hope that it will be part of the improvements!
Hello
I'm on Creo 3 and there's no option you're looking for.
There is no difference between Open and Session.
You also have the "Search" area at the top right which is more interactive and no need for a star.
Otherwise, how does it feel to have finally switched to a real CAD software? ;)
S.B
Oh no, my hopes are gone.
Yes, I saw for the search box. It is rather practical indeed
It drives me crazy!!
As much as I like Creo for the surface .... As much as bug, I'm struggling to find my bearings (that's what it's like to be used to a software!!). And I don't find it ergonomic in the updates: the number of times I make a modification, I go to my dwg and don't see it appear. Then I remember to click on "update". Ralala ^^
And then I have the equipment that is not in place, which doesn't help! But apparently, in a little month, I have a racing beast. So I'm taking my pain in patience
What version are you in?
On the 3, I go from one window to another through the windows bar, without having to activate the window.
Creo 2.
Haaa, that's going to be good. I use it quite regularly in addition to switching from one window to another. Can you also edit a sketch in both windows at the same time?
I haven't used Creo 2. I went straight from Wildfire 5 to Creo 3.
The sketch, you can only open one.
You can't edit 2 sketches at once.
On the other hand, if you want, and on creo 2 too, you can modify your sketch in the assembly.
