We use Solidworks 2025 and we have big problems with slowness when making drawings.
In the system options, we unchecked some options, " Open a detail mode drawing" as well as " Improved graphics performance", but maybe there are other options to play on?

Which version of Sw dates your basemap (model) used to make the MEPs.
If the version is too lower, it will create a big problem of slowness in a new version.
For example, we had a 2014 basemap for the sw2020 version, after modification the MEPs were much faster.
For your information, it is strongly recommended to redo the basemaps, model parts... with each change of version.
The basemaps/templates were made with the current version.
After our graphics card is minimal config it doesn't help.
