I would like to know if it is possible to link AutoCAD drawings in DWG and Inventor.
I work with Inventor 2010 on the construction of wooden staircases. To do this, I created a profile database (for handrails, for spindles or potaeux) with Autocad.
These files serve as exchanges with our suppliers.
Having no link between the two (autocad and inventor) when I modify a profile I have to think about modifying all the existing profiles in our database with inventor.
I would have liked to link the AutoCAD and Inventor drawings, so that when I modify the AutoCAD file, when I open Inventor it updates.
It is possible to do this in SolidWorks so it would be strange not to be able to do it with Inventor.
To do this, under SW I insert my DWG as a "block" by checking the link to file box. So I can build layouts around my DWG and be sure that if it is modified, my 3D will be too.
I do I would like the opposite (not to integrate an Inventor part into Autocad), but to integrate an Autocad drawing into inventor to make a sketch and above all link them.

This is already what I do when I want to retrieve an AutoCAD drawing but unfortunately there is no link between the AutoCAD file and the Inventor file.
If I modify the AutoCAD drawing it will have no impact in Inventor, while I would like the opposite.
By modifying the autocad drawing it changes the inventor file for both to be linked and updated continuously.
