Link a property set to a solidworks model

Hello, the way my company works requires the use of different parts models (Purchase/ Machining/Sheet metal) I use the plugin for smart properties, but I can't link these properties to the opening of my solidworks models. Is there an easy way to access this solution?

I don't think it's related but I've updated a series of tutorials on Properties (See "Tutorials") or http://tutoriel.solidworks.free.fr/crbst_168.html for older versions.

Have you tried using the "Drop-down Menu" (or "Dynamic Menu") feature in SmartProperties that would allow you to use a single room model for your 3 families. Based on a property value, you display other properties to be populated. On the other hand, your document templates may have other differences than their own properties.

Why not pre-populate your part templates directly via custom properties and/or configuration-specific properties.
